Cooperative Vision Systems (CoVis) - specialises in developing frontier computer vision and data mining systems and solutions, recognising new opportunities that are emerging at the interface between IP video systems, ubiquitous web-centric computing, and advanced distributed video analysis and data mining.
Expertise - CoVis is a cutting-edge video processing and product development company, specialising in combined multi-sensor decision making. Our long term goal is to develop technologies that extract useful information from a large network of sensors as a whole, thus abstracting the large underlying complexities.
Technology - CoVis has developed a suite of cross platform software libraries, upon which rapid development of products and solutions can take place in a very wide range of deployment scenarios.
We recognise that each application has performance, hardware, communication and scalability requirements. These are systematically tackled via an architecture deploy-able in many configurations, and customisable image-processing workflows.
Deployment - A flexible, cross platform deployment architecture allows for customisable solutions that can make use of traditional in-situ processing paradigms, as well as on-camera processing and cloud-based deployment.
A range of cameras (including PTZ(Pan Tilt Zoom)) are supported, with a web and database-enabled user interface for system definition, event management, analysis and configuration.
Silent Sentry
Silent Sentry is a combined static-PTZ system providing simultaneous wide-angle contextual surveillance and focused dynamic PTZ surveillance. The system automatically controls slave PTZ cameras based on decisions made by the master static cameras. Features include tunable cooperation behaviour, automatic training, and plugin analytic modules.
Graffiti Detection
Graffiti Detection A novel approach has been developed for this topical problem, making use of statistical appearance models and pattern recognition, instead of error-prone object tracking.
Asset Tracking
Asset Tracking We have developed a video based QR-code detection system for simultaneous scene analysis and tracking.
On Camera Processing
On Camera Processing - CoViS offers flexible deployment scenarios, including on-camera image-processing, currently supporting the Axis family of cameras. CoViS has developed a real-time object-tracking product that significantly reduces infrastructure and maintenance requirements for some applications. Our competence in embedded software can be utilised to implement other image-processing work-flows upon request.
In the Labs
In the labs - We are developing a variety of cooperative vision technologies including self-learning and self-customising spatio-temporal behaviour analysis, and parking-bay statistics.
